Mamma Mia! Here we go again belting out tunes thinking we all sounded like Lea Salonga.

If you were at the Sunday Jam open house in South Forbes held last August 19, you must have realized that man created music as an alternative avenue to show and express emotions. And that music should be shared equally not only among those with golden voice but also with those who only got silver.

To set the South Forbes Sales Office to theater mode, guitar and trumpet timepiece decors were displayed on tables. In another corner, a mini-stage was set-up, waiting for the spotlight to be switched on.

Buyers were asked ahead of time what song they wanted to hear. So, while they were accomplishing the reservation requirements, the guest performers- the Acoustic Rhymes band, set the mood and started the musical magic.

The four-member band began their performance with Coldplay’s The Scientist, an anthem for those who just came from a breakup but attempting to move on. The band also performed Nina’s Foolish Heart, attracting a sentimental vibe from the crowd.

When it was the turn for Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, everyone was moved expecting someone to kneel down and do some proposal drama. However, no one had that planned.

The best part of the jam was the open mic session wherein buyers and sellers were invited to perform on stage with a disclaimer: no judgement, promise!

As expected, Ogie Alcasid’s “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” was sung in a duet act from the cheery guests. Others just requested a song and clapped as the musicians started played on until their last set for the day.

While the jam session was going on, other buyers were touring the golf city with their Property Investment Consultants (PIC). All model houses, amenities such as the clubhouses and model condominiums were open to give buyers a glimpse of the lifestyle that South Forbes offers.

It would be interesting to explore the best kind of music to play while lying on the poolside bench at the Miami clubhouse or any other thematic pool in the city. It could be the solemn music of Enya or Yiruma to match the tranquil environment.

Upon returning, the buyers chose which one to drink: fruit juice, lemon-infused water, or brewed coffee. They paired it with the bread of their choice.

When the Sunday Jam ended at four in the afternoon, buyers who came all the way from Metro Manila bid goodbye. Who knows, they must have continued with the musical session inside their car while on SLEX. Soon, going to South Forbes will be easier and faster with the opening of Cavite- Laguna Expressway (CALAEx) and Cavite Tagaytay Batangas Expressway (CTBEx).
